Middle Weeks Mountain (3,701 ft) is the lowest of three summits on the Pliny Range section of the Kilkenny Ridge Trail, a remote ridgeline in New Hampshire's North Country near Berlin and Jefferson. It sits between North Weeks (3,901 ft) to the north and South Weeks (3,885 ft) to the south, and is almost always visited as part of a day hike or backpacking traverse that covers all three.
The approach follows the York Pond Trail from the Berlin Fish Hatchery trailhead, adding 2.4 miles through hemlock groves and across several low stream crossings before meeting the Kilkenny Ridge Trail. Middle Weeks lies roughly 5 miles from the trailhead; covering all three Weeks peaks and returning adds up to about 12.2 miles with around 2,200 feet of cumulative elevation gain. The Fish Hatchery gate operates seasonally with limited hours, so an early start matters for a full day hike.
The summit is forested and viewless, but the ridgeline has a character distinct from the busier southern Whites: fern-carpeted floors beneath open-growing conifers, moss-draped trees, and near-total solitude. The Kilkenny corridor is good moose habitat. Navigation between North Weeks and Middle Weeks deserves attention, as trail blazes can be sparse and fallen trees obscure the path in spots; a GPS track is a sensible precaution.
